On-Line Databases

(accessible from Steacie Science Library, York University)

A compilation of Ph.D. thesis abstracts awarded primarily at North American Universities.

On-line abstracts and advisor names are given for theses since the 1990’s. Refer to the actual bound compilations to confirm advisor names.

This database allows access to the amounts and titles of research grants and fellowships awarded by NSERC to faculty members at Canadian universities since 1991. However, actual grant proposals are not accessible. This may be used to track the research performance of any faculty member.

A list of the most cited chemists during the period 1981 to June 1997. The database includes an author search engine which reports total articles, total citations, average citation per paper, and rank by total citations for a given author. The search engine is limited to the top 10858 chemists. Compiled by David A. Pendlebury.
